This policy covers all apps published by Data Etude Studios, including Piano Scales Lab and Lyrics Lab.
Data We Collect
We collect no personal data whatsoever. Our apps do not collect, transmit or share any information about you or your device.
Local Storage
Our apps store the following data locally on your device only:
- Your content — lyrics, songs and notes in Lyrics Lab; fingering preferences in Piano Scales Lab
- App settings such as theme, colour palette and default preferences
This data never leaves your device. It is not sent to any server and we have no access to it.
Third-Party Services
Lyrics Lab uses the Datamuse API to provide rhyme suggestions. This service is queried only when you use the Rhyme Finder, and only sends the word you are searching for. No personal information is transmitted. Datamuse's own privacy policy applies to these requests.
No Tracking or Analytics
Our apps contain no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party SDKs that collect data.
Device Permissions
- Audio — to play scale and chord sounds in Piano Scales Lab. No audio is recorded or transmitted.
- Wake lock — optionally keeps the screen on during practice. No data is collected.
- Vibration — optional haptic feedback. No data is collected.
- Internet — used only by Lyrics Lab for the Rhyme Finder. No personal data is sent.
- Storage — used by Lyrics Lab for PDF export and backup files.
Children
Our apps do not collect data from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new date.
